Public Affairs & Communication Manager, Janssen - Finland
Janssen is looking for a Public Affairs & Communications Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking personal and professional growth within an organization, enabling them to progress and develop their skills over time. The position is office based in Espoo, Finland with possibility to some flex remote work and includes some travelling in Finland and abroad.
The Public Affairs & Communication Manager drives and ensures Janssen's public image as a trusted partner for patient groups and the broader society by delivering valuable solutions. The role also assumes responsibility for strategic planning, development and implementation of integrated external and internal communication strategies that engage our external partners.
The position also strives to improve patient access to innovation and secure adequate funding for innovation through business impacting Public Affairs strategies and plans within Janssen's therapeutic areas. The role drives access and funding as well as disease awareness in collaboration with patient associations, non-governmental organizations to secure the best possible treatments for patients.
Objectives of the Position
• Apply knowledge of business, competition, and industry priorities to effectively develop and implement high-level communication plans. This will play a significant role in achieving impactful business and reputation results and shaping the environment in alignment with Janssen Finland's priorities.
• Identify, prioritize, and build engagement plans for local patient advocacy groups and associations as well as external partners to ensure maximum impact and realization of desired goals and objectives.
• Measure and evaluate the efficiency of advocacy programs and supervise progress against objectives.
• Build and deliver patient-aimed communication materials and drive the patient value story.
• Handle relationships with internal and external partners, including Patients Associations, to understand mutual areas of interest between Janssen and advocacy / professional organizations to successfully serve patients.
• Be an active member of the assigned country business team.
• Proactively engage, inform, and influence key external partners, including media relations, regarding issues important to Janssen and its constituents.
• Identify and apply key outcomes and metrics to communication practices, and provide insights that improves quality, performance, and key capabilities.
Qualifications
• Academic degree required
• 2-5 years of work experience in comparable roles related to corporate communications and/or public affairs.
• High proficiency in spoken and written Finnish and English required.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office required.
What you will need to succeed
• Team player with good interpersonal skills, ability to influence and interact effectively with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to independently handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of the Finnish media environment and experience engaging directly with journalists
• Budget and agency management experience
