Summary:
David Trone for Senate is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Political Director to join the team. As the Political Director, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the overall political strategy and managing the campaign's political operations. You will work closely with the campaign manager and other key stakeholders to ensure the campaign's success in reaching its goals.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the campaign's political strategy in coordination with the campaign manager and senior staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including elected officials, party leaders, interest groups, and community organizations to foster support and endorsement for the campaign.
- Conduct research and analysis on political issues, voter demographics, and trends to inform campaign strategies and messaging.
- Identify and prioritize target voter groups and develop tailored outreach plans to maximize support and voter turnout.
- Coordinate with the campaign's field team to implement effective voter contact strategies, including door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and volunteer recruitment.
- Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging and maximize media opportunities.
- Manage the campaign's political budget, including allocating resources for voter outreach, events, and other political activities.
- Organize and participate in campaign events, fundraisers, and community engagements to promote the campaign and engage with supporters.
- Oversee the tracking and analysis of key campaign metrics, including voter contact results, fundraising, and polling data.
- Provide regular updates and reports on political activities and progress to the campaign manager and senior staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in political campaigns or related fields, with a proven track record of successful political strategy and operations.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and national political landscape, including an understanding of relevant policies, issues, and voter demographics.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving campaign objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, conduct research, and utilize voter databases and targeting tools to inform campaign strategies.
- Experience in grassroots organizing, volunteer recruitment, and voter outreach techniques.
- Proficiency in campaign management software, digital organizing tools, and social media platforms.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding campaign environment, with a high level of adaptability and resilience.
- Commitment to the campaign's goals and values, with a passion for progressive politics and social change.
